A solo developer in Swindon who builds the whole thing
I'm a freelance web designer and developer based in Swindon. Before this I spent twenty years in retail, so I think about what actually brings customers through the door, not just what looks good on screen. I work with small and medium businesses across Wiltshire and further afield. Brunel Web is just me, so the person you explain the job to is the person who writes the code.
Most of my hands-on experience comes from building JobFast, an AI careers site for people who work in UK retail. It's my own product, so I had to do all the dull parts properly: safe logins, payments, automatic emails, AI features, and a design that still works on a phone at a bus stop.
I know both of the main platforms for this kind of work, Firebase and Supabase, so I can pick whichever really suits your project. Whatever we build, you deal with one person from the first chat to handover.

You get plain answers about what something costs, how long it takes and whether you actually need it.

One person designs it, builds it and hands it over. If something's wrong, there's no one else to chase.

I know both of the main platforms for storing data and handling logins. So I can pick the one that suits your project, not the only one I know.

What happens after you get in touch
Four stages, and you know the price before the second one. Nothing starts until you have it in writing.
A conversation
You tell me what your business does and what you need the site to do. I'll tell you whether you need a website or a web app, and roughly what it costs. Usually within a day.
A fixed range, agreed up front
You get it in writing, with a price range, before any work starts. No surprise hourly bills, and no finding out halfway through that something you expected is not included.
Design and build
I design and build it. You see it working on a real web address as it comes together, not just as a flat picture at the end.
Launch and handover
It goes live on your own domain name, and we sit down so you know how to run it. After that you can leave it alone, take a care plan, or book me by the day.
